!! STOP PRESS !!

My assignment in Singapore was brought to a premature end, due to the closure ("retrenchment") of the division of APC (American Power Conversion) that I worked for. So I've had to find a new employer to subsidise my habits. This has meant that I moved back to the UK from Singapore briefly (4 weeks) then I moved to Frankfurt, Germany.

So here I am in Germany with a new employer (Recom International Power GmbH) as Product Manager

Debbie will be moving here at the end of August, but you can be sure that the UK is going to see us regularly, thanks to Ryan Air and Buzz offering "cheap" flights

This is the home site of David & Deborah Thompson we started this site to document a selected portion of our lives, this has become the home for photographic memories and rantings of two "normal" people who have found themselves traveling the world in search of happiness ??? 

Seriously though we are two "normal" people who through my work have found ourselves in far off places, originally from the North Yorkshire area of the United Kingdom, we have lived in Singapore and now find ourselves in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a far from what either of us expected to be doing as I set out originally in a career as a TV repair man and Deborah as an office administrator. Ah the good old simple days they seem so far away.
